Sandycove Holiday Homes are fully equipped to carry out repairs throughout your entire holiday home, anything from changing a door hinge to replacing skylights. We are approved repairs for Atlas Leisure Homes, Swift Holiday Homes and Victory Leisure Homes and can also repair any other make of caravan holiday home.

We are also approved repairs of Thistle Insurance and can provide fully comprehensive estimates for insurance claims as well as carry out repairs approved by the insurance company.

Why should I have my caravan gas checked?

As leading suppliers of caravans in Northern Ireland, we would advise with every purchase, that you, a caravan owner, are solely responsible for the gas safety of your caravan. Problems with gas appliance can lead to fires, explosions and CO poisoning. Carbon Monoxide (CO) is known as the silent killer, as it is invisible and has no smell, and can kill quickly. 

Whether it’s a static caravan for sale Northern Ireland, UK, Europe or anywhere in the world; brand new or used, all caravans should be serviced first and foremost for gas.

It is recommended that you have your gas appliances serviced annually to keep them working safely and efficiently. Think about who uses your caravan and your responsibility towards them.  Can you afford not to practice gas safety?

How do I winterise my caravan?

All caravans for sale in Ireland and the UK should come with a holiday home manufacturers guidelines.  Always follow the guidelines when winterising your caravan. It is recommended that your holiday home is drained by a professional, and some insurance companies will insist on this. 

At Sandycove Holiday Homes, we offer a full professional drain down and reconnect service, which also guarantees the pipework in the interim period. We take care of the full process for you, offering you complete peace of mind, and more time to enjoy your leisure time.

COVID-19 Repairs/Maintenance Procedure

Although our Head Office/Sales Office remains closed, we are still contactable by telephone on 028 4275 8200 or email at to arrange essential repairs/maintenance to your caravan.

As always, the safety of both our customers, and staff members remains our highest priority.

If you require essential repairs/maintenance, it will be necessary for you to fully vacate your caravan for at least 72 hours before our engineers attend your caravan. If there is anyone present when our engineers attend, they will not be able to proceed.

In an emergency (Gas leak, CO alarm sounding etc.), as always, you should immediately vacate your caravan and turn off the gas at the cylinder, and report this to us as soon as possible.
